REGISTER TO VOTE l MAKING CHANGES l REPLACEMENT VOTER CARD
You may register to vote if you are at least 18 years of age, a citizen of the United States, a legal resident of the State of Florida and a legal resident of the county in which you seek to be registered.
You may also pre-register on or after your sixteenth (16th) birthday, and may vote in any election occurring on or after your 18th birthday.
The following persons, who might be otherwise qualified, are not entitled to register or vote:
You can start the registration process by using our convenient online Voter Registration Application. The completed application must be printed and signed. The application may be mailed or delivered to either of our office locations.

Upon acceptance of your voter registration application, you should receive a Voter Information Card within two weeks. If you do not, please contact our office.
If you register to vote by mail, please be aware of the following information:
Pursuant to the 2002 Help America Vote Act (HAVA) enacted by the United States Congress, Florida Statute 97.0535 provides certain requirements for anyone who registers to vote by mail. Each applicant who registers by mail and who has never previously voted in the state and who the department has verified has not been issued a current and valid Florida driver’s license, Florida identification card, or social security number shall be required to provide a copy of a current and valid identification (see acceptable forms of identification below) or indicate that he or she is exempt from the requirements prior to voting.

MAKING CHANGES TO YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION
It is the responsibility of the voter to keep his or her voter registration information current with the Elections Office. If your address, signature, name or choice of party affiliation has changed, please notify our office.
Address Changes within Nassau County
If you have moved within or into Nassau County from another Florida county you may change your address by one of the following methods:

Out of County Address Changes
If you have moved to another Florida county from Nassau County, you may change your address by one of the following methods:
To ensure you are properly registered, follow up with the elections office in your new county of residence.
Signature Updates
It is important that the Elections Office has your current signature on file. Your signature is used to validate your absentee ballot, provisional ballot and/or candidate and initiative petitions. If your signature has changed, you may update it at any time by submitting a new Voter Registration Application.
Name and/or Party Affiliation Changes
Name changes and party affiliation changes may NOT be completed over the phone. You may change your name and/or party affiliation by a signed, written notice containing your new name, party affiliation choice, date of birth or voter registration number. To ensure your residence and/or mailing address is up to date please also include this information. These changes may also be submitted on a Voter Registration Application. The completed application must be printed and signed. The notice or application may be mailed or delivered to either of our office locations. You should receive a Voter Information Card within two weeks. If you do not, please contact our office.
ACCORDING TO FLORIDA LAW:
REPLACEMENT VOTER INFORMATION CARD
To request a replacement Voter Information Card, you may provide a signed, written request that includes your name, residence and/or mailing address, date of birth or voter registration number or complete the online Voter Registration Application. The completed application must be printed and signed. The written request or application may be mailed or delivered to either of our office locations.
